MFT Color Challenge #51 » Simple By Design

Hi there

Sharing a card tonight for the next Color Challenge for MFT..

We are up to number 51…

I chose to create a fairly plain card, colouring in the sweet little Pure Innocence, Happy Banner, colouring her in with my Copics, leaving a relatively neutral colour for her dress and bow in hair, so that the colours on the banner would stand out, these colours were the colours I chose from the challenge, stamping these out onto the respective colours and embossing with white embossing powder, trimming each of these out as well as my little girl, then adding foam tape to each of the letters and adhering these on top of the ones I had stamped out…I added her to a white card that I die cut the Peek-a-Boo Circle Windows, adding a black panel in the background and embossed a sentiment and candles from the Celebrate with Cake stamp set, I was going with a chalkboard feel, so I added some white ink over the top and smudged to give it a more realistic look…

A simple card created so my colours for the challenge would stand out, remember you don’t have to cover your entire card with these colours, a little splash is all it needs for it to stand out..

One last thing before I leave, I need to apologise for not announcing the winner of the POD stamp, I will definitely be back tomorrow with that share for the ones that have entered…thanks for you patience..
