My Man’s Birthday! » Simple By Design

Hi Everyone! So firstly I want to wish My Man very big Birthday Wishes, even though we both had to work today I know that he enjoyed his day. We have just finished tea and I made his favourite meal and now we are relaxing in front of the TV.

So the card that I wish to share with you tonight is the birthday card that I made for him. Darryl is an avid fisherman so this card was very fitting for him. 🙂

I started with blue card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Flourish Background stamp, I stamped the front of the card using some Colorbox Ink, Frost White, I set this aside to dry. Next, I took some paper from the October Afternoon, Fly a Kite 8 x 8 paper pad and using my Spellbinder, Circle Die, I cut a circle using my Cuttlebug. I then took some white card stock and stamped a fish from the Hero Arts, Oceans of Joy and coloured the fish in with my Copics, once the image was coloured, I cut it out and set aside. I took the circle and adhered this to the front of the card and using the stamp again I stamped onto the circle, I adhered the coloured image to the image that was stamped onto the circle with some foam dimensionals. I added some some bubbles from the same stamp set to the circle, coloured them in and added some Glossy Accents to them. Whilst the Glossy Accents was drying I took more white card stock, making a tag and stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set also, I then adhered this tag to the card using some foam dimensionals. Lastly, I added some rhinestones to the card and a boggly eye to the fish to finish the card.

Here is a closer view of the fish.

For this card I drew inspiration from the lovely, talented and inspiring Nichol Magouirk, she created cards using the circle that you can check out HERE.

I thought that this card turned out really cute and Darryl was happy with his card too.

Hope you all enjoyed your day, I will be back tomorrow with another creation.

Hugs
