Concord & 9th Birthday Bash! » Simple By Design

Hello

Here tonight to share in my excitement for Concord & 9th and their 1st year of business..

To help celebrate their first year, there has been a month long of partying going on around blog land, being that of a blog hop, loads of designers sharing their artistic ways, creating using the fabulous and unique products from Concord & 9th..be sure to check out their blog HERE..

I was first introduced to Concord & 9th on Instagram, the sharing of the fabulous Take a Bough Die, that created a little tree out of card stock etc..it blew my mind completely..

Before I knew it Angie, was in contact with me asking me to be a guest and I could not hold in my excitement, I just love everything this company has brought to this community, their passion for what they believed in and actually took the bull by the horns, jumped head first and took on a business and have come out on top with amazing product..

So for me today, I am once again honoured to be sharing a creation for their birthday and for me, I just had to use the Take a Bough die, but put a new different spin on the die other then a tree or a wreath..I chose to create a snowflake, this just proves how versatile this die actually is…

Die cutting several layers of white card stock, I then went about creating the snowflake, adding a silver snowflake die cut to the very top of the white..setting the snowflake aside, I then went about adding colour to my background water colour paper, using Peerless water colours..once I was happy with the look, I took a stitched rectangle die and die cut the background to a smaller piece, adding a piece of silver washi tape to the top (sadly the photo does not show this) then trimmed a piece of white card stock to go the width of the card stock, stamping a sentiment from the O’Chirstmas Tree stamp set, adding my snowflake and finishing touches of clear sequins..

I really loved how this card turned out and I think I may just create a few more for my Christmas cards, it was really surprisingly easy to create..

Angie and Greg from Concord & 9th have been super generous with each of the blog hop participants, allowing one of our readers on our blogs be in the chance of winning a $20 gift card to spend in the Concord & 9th store, how flipping nice is that..so in order to have a chance at winning a voucher, all you need to do is leave me a comment on this blog post by Thursday 1st of September, 9pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Thank you Angie and Greg for asking me to be apart of this wonderful celebration and for bringing a company to the industry that is wonderful, generous, unique and fun..you both should be incredibly proud…Happy Birthday Concord & 9th!!!

Hugs
