Christmas Gift! » Simple By Design

Hi! So as promised I am back today to share a Christmas Present that I am currently making for the girls in our family. It something that everyone has seen before on other blog posts and I happen to make this last year for the girls and they loved it so much that I thought that I would create the same gift again, which is a card gift set. Cards that they are able to send to their friends or loved ones.

Using some white card stock, I die cut the card stock through my Cuttlebug using the Papertrey Ink, Mat Stack die, next using the corresponding stamp that was in the Tiny Treats stamp set, I inked it up using some Aqua Mist ink and stamped over the die cut, setting these aside to dry. Still using the Cuttlebug, I took some yummy felt and cut the felt using the Beautiful Blooms 2 die and also die cutting some vintage text paper using one of the other dies from the same set, inking the edges of the vintage text paper using some distress ink, Vintage Photo. I sewed a blue button through the centre of the flowers to hold them together and adhered to the mat stacks. Taking more vintage text paper and the Fiskars, Scallop Sentiments border punch, I punched the vintage text paper, dusting it lightly with some distress ink, Vintage Photo. Next, taking Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart card stock I trimmed strips and adhered each one together, stamping a sentiment onto the strips and applying white gel pen also. Lastly, attaching each of the pieces to white cards.

Here are all the cards together.

I plan on making the girls several different cards to go into their card sets for them to give to other people, over the next couple of weeks I will show you the cards that I will be making that will make up these sets, so stay tuned.

So I am off to stay cool today as it is going to be 36 degrees here today, I am not liking that it is this hot so quickly, I fear what Summer is going to bring us.

Have a great day everyone!

Hugs
