Happy Weekend!
I know I have done some winging over the heat of late, but it is just not letting up, whilst the other part of the world are in floods and loads of snow, we are still having searing heat and it is really extreme, no fun at all, it looks as though we are headed for around 10 days straight of this heat, very hard going on not just humans and animals but also our gardens, I think this year I will loose quite a few plants 🙁 but that is mother nature…
So I did manage to create a couple of cards today, one that I struggled completely with earlier on in the day and that one I will share with you soon here and these other two that came together a lot better tonight..
I have had the February Simon Says Stamp Card Kit sitting in my craft area for a little while and having no time to play until tonight..
I love the fresh colours that are in this kit and I have to say that I have missed playing with these kits and happy now that I can take a little time for me and just play..
This first one I die cut the butterfly out of the vellum, stamped and embossed with white over the top, giving the butterfly some texture, adding it to some of the pattern papers that I layered together and sewed together..
Finishing this card off by adding a sentiment and sequins (these were from my own stash)..
This second card, I decided to allow the die cut to be the feature with the pattern paper, adding several layers of white die cuts and then adding the pattern paper as the top layer, adding this to a kraft card stock circle that I stamped the leaf stamp from the kit in white ink and adding a simple stamped background on the front of the card, going for a white on white feature..
Looking forward to receiving March’s kit and having play time..
Okay, I am off to have a shower and cool off for the night before heading to bed..
Have a great and wonderful weekend!
Hugs
