Hero Hostess Blog Hop! » Simple By Design

Hi everyone! So today is the last day of the most amazing week of blog hopping, there has been some serious eye candy for us to feast our eyes on. In some ways I find that this is a sad day as this is the last day of the hop, but in others it is a happy one too as I finally get to show you what I have created using the most wonderful stamps in the world.

So with that being said, if you have arrived at my blog, you would have arrived from Jenny Suchins blog, and what beautiful creations she has made. If for some reason you find a broken link, you can always head back to the Hero Arts blog for the master list or please contact Tami at [email protected] and provide the following blog address that has the broken link and it will be fixed.

Okay! I finally get to share my creations with you all.

Using Eggshell note card from Hero Arts, inking the Envelope Pattern (S5507) background stamp with antique linen distress ink, covering the entire front of the card. Stamping the large flower from the Layered Flowers (CL496) twice onto Basic Grey patterned paper with Versamark Ink and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. Taking worn lipstick distress ink, applying directly to a craft sheet, adding perfect pearl powder, spritzing with water, applying to the stamped image. With the other flower that was embossed, I took the Happy Definition (CG296) stamp inking it with the same antique linen distress ink and stamped over the image. Trimming each flower out, along with some white and pink card stock. Adding a sentiment from the Find Joy (CL497) stamp set to white card stock, adhering each of the items to the front of the card, finishing with pearls to complete the card.

Next card, using the same stamp sets, I created a background with the Happy Definition stamp (CG269), using the same antique linen ink. Stamping the other flower from the same Layered Flower stamp set, twice onto white card stock, colouring both flowers in using my Copics. I also stamped the leaf 3 times from this set and coloured in the images, trimming each of the items out. I took Kraft card stock and trimmed to size and stamped a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set, adding white gel pen lines around the edges to give a border. Lastly, adhered each of the items together and then onto the the card, adding white gel pen to the centre of the flower.

The last creation that I wish to share with you is something that we sometimes struggle with creating, which is the males in our lives. How many times have we thought what can we make for the men that we love. I know that I struggle from time to time, so I decided to create a writing set.

This was pretty straight forward, taking white paper and stamping the bicycle from the Bicycles (CG295) stamp set along the base of the paper, stamping out 10 sheets of paper. I wanted to add 2 cards to the set, making it a monochromatic feel of black and white, stamping the Happy Definition stamp over 2 snow cards, then trimming some black and white card stock, I took the bicycle once again and stamped onto the trimmed white card stock, adding a sentiment from the Find Joy stamp set, along with black pearls either side of the sentiment. Adhering both trimmed card stocks and then onto the card fronts. Lastly stamping the bicycle once again onto some white envelopes (I only share 2 of these in the photos).

Here is another view of the writing set:
