Hello Happy Weekend!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and getting your crafty on…I know I will be trying to get a little bit done in the craft room before heading off to work..

Today, I wanted to share a card with you, after seeing Jennifer McGuire create a video using the Hero Arts, Color Layering Goldfish, I knew I just had to have those in my collection, I not only got those sweet fish, but I also chose to get the Color Layering Large Orchid as well as an older layering set, Color Layering Bird and Branch, I know I need the other sets now, since playing with these..

In fact when I first ordered the orchid one, I wasn’t sure I was really going to use it as much as the others, but alas when it arrived, I surprised myself and was like WOW! this is super amazing and so much fun, especially when you have the Misti tool in order to do the layering, don’t get me wrong, using a clear block and lining up, you could still do, but the Misti makes it that much easier, as I found I needed to stamp a few times to get the depth of colour I was after..

So I went about choosing coloured inks that would pair well together, I chose Simon Says Stamp, Cotton Candy, Doll Pink and Hot Mama, I know with the cotton candy, the first stamp impression is super super light, in fact you can barely see it, so I found I had to stamp it 3 times in order to get the right colour tone I was after, Doll Pink was the next ink and then Hot Mama, to complete the orchid, I added a centre of Sunshine ink as well…the stem I used Willow and the little buds were just two layers of Cotton Candy and Doll Pink..

Adding this to the front of a white card that I added a strip on white glitter paper to the base and once I was finished adding the orchid, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins to complete..

So if I was to enable any of my readers out there today, then yes, this stamp set and matching die is a MUST HAVE!!

Of course I will have all the links provided down below, I will also add additional layering stamps that you may wish to try as well, and if you are having trouble trying to locate this particular stamp and die set, I know that Hero Arts do have it in stock and if you are international and worried about shipping, well for me to purchase those 3 stamp and die sets that I mentioned at the start of this blog post the cost was only $20 to get to Australia, for me that was fantastic and they were super quick too..

Okay, Bentley is now sitting outside crying as he wants to come in, the big sook, so I will sign off here and I do hope you all have a great weekend, I will be back tomorrow with another post, but this one is a little different..stay tuned!
