MFT Sketch Challenge 346! » Simple By Design

Hello

How has your day been?  Mine has been a lazy day, but I did something that I am kind of super excited about and yes this is not new for a lot of people but for me it is a first time thing and well this Saturday I have enrolled in a crochet class, I am excited to learn a new craft and so today, being a lazy day I chose to go purchase a bigger size hook as the one’s my grandmother owned were a little small to start out learning and well turned on the You tube and have learnt to chain stitch and basic stitches, so I am at least ready to start something at the weekend…I do realise now that my craft room is so not big enough if I continue to gain more crafts LOL..

Okay so that being my day I am also here tonight to share the latest MFT Sketch Challenge for this week, we are up to 346 and for more information on how you can enter the challenge to win or for inspiration just head over HERE..

So I chose one of my favourite stamp sets of all time Recipe for Happiness, love those little chefs, so I took all the images I wished to use and stamped them out, colouring with Copics and die cutting out..

Next was to work on the background feature, so I took Blueprints 31 and die cut a panel that had corners rounded and stitching, I then took the English Brick Wall stencil and applied Grout Gray ink over the top, now I think whatever was on my sponge from an earlier project transferred onto the wall, but I was happy with the look so I left it..

I took Cement Gray card stock and the Inside and Out Stitched Circle, die cutting out to match the sketch..

It was time to place everything on the brick wall panel, so I took the pots, pans and utensils and used them to match the strip that was under the circle feature, I added the circle along with my little chef and completed the card by adding a sentiment to a banner that I die cut using the Stitched Sentiment Strips and added this to a Cement Gray card base..

Thanks for stopping by today..

Hugs
