MFT Sketch Challenge 337! » Simple By Design

Hi there

Hope you all have a fabulous day today…my day was a good day, spent with Mum cleaning out a few things and organising, so that is always a good thing..

After a long day I am surprised that I have managed to make it into the craft room to craft, but of course this little corner of my house always makes me happy..

So before I get started on crafting, I figure it was time to sit here and schedule my post for the new sketch challenge at MFT…to find out how you can enter into this weeks challenge and have a chance at winning a prize or to even be inspired by the design team, then click HERE..

We are up to number 337 this week and I have to say it kinda made me put my thinking cap on 🙂

I chose to use Space Explorer, I just adore this sweet little set..

I stamped out my image of the little space boy and coloured him in with Copics, I die cut him and set him aside..

Moving onto the rest of the card and sketch, I took some white card stock, along with Lemon Drop ink and applied ink over a section of the card stock, die cutting a starry background using Starry Circle..

Sticking with the die cutting, I took some After Midnight card stock and Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax and lining 2 of them up together so that it just cut a border, I die cut the card stock..

Next, I took a piece of Sour Apple card stock, trimmed a strip and using stamps from the Out of this World stamp set, I stamped out the images along the strip with Sour Apple ink, adding this to the centre of a trimmed white card base..Adding my Starry Circle and Fishtail Banner also..

The sentiment was the next to be added onto the circle feature, stamping a sentiment onto Black Licorice card stock from the Out of this World stamp set, embossing with white embossing powder…

Lastly, I added my little space boy and die cut an Electric Red heart from the Tag Builder Blueprints 6..

I look forward to seeing all your projects this week..

Have a fun crafty day!

Hugs
