Customized Pattern Paper! » Simple By Design

Hi everyone! feeling rather weary tonight, my Mum and I had a shopping day out together so that she could gather some Christmas presents, for me I will be returning to the shops in another couple of weeks, the drive always seems to wear me down, but was good to get out of the house.

So I promised last night that I would be back with a share and so I ventured in to the craft room and whipped up a pretty quick card, but before I share this with you, I have some great news from Jane’s Doodles…they are currently having a sale, 20% off all their clear stamps, until 30th November…so if you are looking for a great deal, look no further, quick Chrissy present for that special friend or family member.

I just adore Jane’s images and Judith’s hand written sentiments..below is a card that I whipped up using the Vintage Christmas set.

I created my own customized pattern paper, using the poinsettia from the stamp set, inking up the stamp with cough syrup ink, stamping onto scratch paper then stamping onto a trimmed piece of white card stock, so as to give a softer look. I cover the entire piece of card stock and adhered rhinestones to the centres of the poinsettias. I scored two lines at the base of the card stock, corner rounded the corners and trimming some vellum, stamping one of the sentiments from the same stamp set and heat embossing with white embossing powder, adhering the vellum to the card stock, adding rhinestones either side of the sentiment. To complete the card, I trimmed Kraft card stock, folded in half to form the card, corner rounded the corners, added a dusting of frost white ink and adhered the poinsettia card stock with foam dimensionals.

This would make a great card to mass produce…

I hope you enjoy viewing the card and I sure do hope that you go on over to Jane’s Doodles and check out the sale…

Have a wonderful night!

Hugs
