MFT Color Challenge #50 » Simple By Design

Hi there

Back again to share the latest MFT Color Challenge and this week we are up to Number 50..

I have to admit, I kinda struggled with the colours this time, but this is where it pushes you and challenges you to put that thinking cap on, so here is what I came up with using the colours below..

I created a scene with my card and an interactive one at that..choosing to use the colours, Sno Cone and Berrylicious as the water, die cutting these card stocks, using the Surf and Turf dies, I also used one of the slider parts, that I die cut some white card stock…my card consisted of a lot of die cutting, so whilst I was die cutting, I die cut the crocodile out of Grout Gray card stock from the Jungle Friends set, the grass out of Limeade card stock and felt the card was pretty plain so, die cut a Birthday Speech Bubbles from some Sno Cone and Grout Gray, to give it a two tone effect and some interest on the card..

Now it was time to add the layers, adding the crocodile into position, I went about adding the water layers, then scattered the grass around the crocodile, I stamped and embossed a sentiment onto the speech bubble and added the speech bubble to the card, so that when the crocodile leapt out of the water, it would look like it was trying to attack the speech bubble…the last thing to do was to add clear sequins to complete the card..

I hope you will have a try at this weeks Color Challenge, for more information on the challenge and for inspiration from the design team, head on over to the MFT Card Challenge Blog..

Well I am off to create one last card and head for bed..

Have a fabulous rest of the day!
