Hi everyone! another hot day here at the cottage, so I think it will be another inside day today, goodie…means more crafting and possibly a nap to boot, considering I did not get to sleep until 3am this morning….the brain would not shut down for the night..LOL.
Yesterday, whilst I was in the craft room I finally had a chance to play around with some Gelatos from Faber Castell and created a card for Jay Gee’s Nook, Judith stocks these in the store so be sure to check them out, I just ordered a bunch more, because after yesterday, I think that this girl is officially addicted and yes I know these have been around awhile, but for me it takes time to play with new products.
I was loving how easily these are to work with, I cannot wait to get back in there today and create more with them.
So I started out just playing around and I took the Merry Background stamp from Hero Arts and started to apply the different colours of Gelatos, once the stamp was covered, I spritzed it lightly with water and applied the white card stock…taking it off the stamp and to my amazement it was truly stunning, there was a light shimmer to the background, which unfortunately you cannot see in the photo. Once it was dry, I took more white card stock and formed a snowbank, adding some Diamond Stickles to the edge…staying with the white card stock, I inked up the tree from the Christmas Reindeer stamp set with Peeled Paint, Pine Needles and Walnut Stain, spitzing it also with water and stamping onto the card stock, once dry, I trimmed the trees out and added them to the snowbank. Completing the card by adding a sentiment and adhering to a trimmed cream card.
This would make a great card to mass produce…..
So it is Sunday morning here and I am still laying in bed, but before I head off to have a shower and start my day, I am certainly jumping on over to the blog to check out what the wonderful DT gals have created, but to also check out the entries for this months Challenge….
I may even have a little surf around in the Store too as I know some new goodies arrived the other day….
