Morning everyone!
Beautiful day here at the cottage, love this time of the year when we get to see the trees turn their leaves to beautiful colours, Autumn is one of the most gorgeous times of the year for me, this year however, we could do with some rain, it has been extremely dry, but I guess if there is no rain then having gorgeous days is the next best thing..
So Darryl, has been out mowing the lawns with Bentley following every step he took, quite funny to watch and I sit here inside writing to all you my lovely peeps!
I wanted to pop in here today to share a card that I created when I was away on retreat…
I always find and I know a lot of you do find it hard to create sympathy cards, we never seem to gravitate to create them, but we at times certainly need them, so I decided whilst away to create at least one of these cards..
I paired this Hero Arts Layering Orchid that I inked with lots of Simon Says Stamp ink then MFT Star Grid Stencil, Altenew Fresh Freesia stamp set in which I used the sentiment and finished the card off with Pretty Pink Posh sequins…
I used 3 different colours of ink from Simon Says Stamp to ink my orchids, inking the bottom layer with Cotton Candy, middle layer with Doll Pink and the top layer with Hot Mama, the stem was Green Apple..
My background on the card I wanted something very soft looking, so I inked up the Star Grid Stencil from MFT with some Victorian Velvet, making sure to taper off at the bottom of the card..
I went about adhering my orchid, then added a stamped sentiment from the Altenew Fresh Freesia stamp set and finished off with the scattering of Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh..
I hope this inspires you to create some of those hard cards that we do need to have in our stash..
Enjoy your Friday, I am off to hang the washing out and attack the mess that has been created on my desk in my craft room, hopefully a video coming soon if I can remember how to do so LOL..
Hugs
