Thank You and a POD card to share! » Simple By Design

Hi Everyone! So it has been a day for inside today, with torrential rain at times and with now over 5 inches of rain, flooding in our part of the world has begun, roads cut, towns isolated, and the rivers that could bust their banks at any stage, it has been quite an interesting day with more to come.

Anyway enough of my babble, tonight before I share my card with you, I wish to send out some very big Thank You’s. As most of you know, I have been hostessing for Hero Arts for the last 3 months and our time has come to an end, although I am sad about this ending I am also happy as I have met the most amazing people and have had the best time, it has been a truly honouring experience, I cannot thank Hero Arts enough for bestowing such a position on me, I have loved every moment of my time. I also wish to thank Tami Hartley, for being the most supportive, encouraging and wonderful friend, she has been an amazing lady all through my term with Hero Arts. The other big Thank You that I wish to send out is to my fellow Hostess Sisters, Barb, Robin, Nancy, Kryssi and Jenny, to you all thank you for allowing me to take this wonderful journey with you all, you have become true friends and ones that are talented, inspiring and so creative and I have enjoyed sharing this experience with you all, I look forward to staying in touch and sharing more experiences with you. Sending thank you’s and very big hugs to you all!

Now onto sharing my POD card with you tonight.

This is one of my favourite stamps from Purple Onion Designs and I have used it in my creations quite a bit, using distress inks, Wild Honey, Barn Door, Rusty Hinge and Shabby shutters I inked the flower up and stamped the different colours inside the postage stamp, stamp, cutting each of the images out, only leaving the black outline around the edge. I wanted to soften the images, so using Antique Linen I blended over the top and mounted the 3 images onto a white card. Lastly, adding a sentiment along the bottom, stamping it also 3 times and adding black rhinestones between each sentiment.

Well enjoy tonight’s read I am off to play a little bit more in the craft room.

Hugs
