Pretty Pink Posh March Release Blog Hop! » Simple By Design

Hello everyone

Fun post for you today, I was asked by the sweet Paulina to be a guest for her March release and be apart of the blog hop today…

I just adore Pretty Pink Posh product and I have to say that this release is fantastic, was so fun to play with, I hope that you will enjoy what I created today and that you also enjoy the blog hop full of inspiration for you all..

If you have arrived from Yuki’s blog then you are on the right track, if not, scroll to the bottom on this post and there will be a list for you to follow..

I have two cards for you today and as I said I adored working with the product, that little chick is just the cutest and on each of these cards I stamped the image with distress ink and coloured also with different layers of distress ink..

The first card you see here I used the Window Frames dies to create my backdrop, once I die cut out of the card stock, I used the middle section and added a soft distress background using Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar, adding it back into the piece I die cut with foam tape, to give that raised look.  I also added another border feature out of some kraft card stock, using the 4 Dies set, placing my already coloured in chick from Birdie Notes and then stamped directly onto the window piece for the sentiment, finishing of this sweet card using some Ballerina sequins and Clear Droplets..

Now to the second card, once again my little chick from Birdie Notes was already coloured, so all I needed to do is create a background, this I used a circle die to die cut a circle out of some masking paper, placed it over the cut card stock and went about blending the colours, Broken China, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive, once I was happy with the blending, I added droplets of water to make the ink wick…I then die cut some grass feature out of card stock, using the 4 Dies added that to the base of the circle, then my sweet little chick along with a stamped sentiment onto kraft card stock that I embossed in white embossing powder, of course the card could not be complete without the scattering of Ocean Spray and Clear sequins…

Now Paulina has kindly offered up 2 $25 gift certificates up for grabs. Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. (Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on 3/14/2016.
