MFT Sketch Challenge 376! » Simple By Design

Hello there

Have you had a great day? I had a rostered day off from work today and it was just lovely, sitting outside drinking coffee and doing a little stitching whilst doing the watering of the garden..

Tonight, I bring you the latest sketch challenge from MFT, we are at number 376, to view more inspiration from the team and to see how you can join in on the fun this week for a chance to win, just click HERE..

I decided to try my hand a no line colouring, need a lot more practice but it sure was fun to have a go…

So in saying that, I took the sweet little Adorable Elephants set, stamped it onto white card stock with Grout Gray ink, a soft ink so that when I went over the image with Polychromo Pencils it blended into the background to give the obvious no line colouring effect..

Once I was happy with how my little elephant looked, I then die cut around the image with an Inside & Out Stitched Circle Stax….

Realising I wanted the elephant to have more of a background, I took my Polychromos again and coloured the entire circle with blue tones, adding some white gel pen dots to soften the look..

I then moved onto creating a back ground feature for my little elephant to sit on, stamping onto a trimmed piece of Cement Gray card stock with Versamark Ink and a sentiment from Welcome Baby…

Using another sentiment from the same stamp set, I embossed a sentiment along a narrow piece of Blu Raspberry card stock, stamping several times along this card stock..

I added both these pieces to a white card base along with my little elephant…

Finishing off the card by adding another sentiment from Welcome Baby, that I stamped onto white card stock and die cut around the sentiment using the Stitched Sentiment Strips…

I hope you have fun playing along and I look forward to seeing what you all come up with..

Have a fun and fabulous day!

Hugs
