MFT Sketch 334! » Simple By Design

Hi

How is your week progressing?  Hope you are all having a fabulous week..

I have to admit I am looking forward to the weekend to have some relaxation and get stuck into some much needed crafting..

Speaking of crafting, today is the start of a new Sketch Challenge over at MFT and we are currently working with number 334..

I chose to once again follow the sketch as closely as I could, but remember you can interpret a sketch how you choose..

I took some white card stock, slightly smaller then the card base and took some pattern paper from the Homespun Gingham paper pad, trimming down to be the same size of the card stock and also die cutting the bottom edge using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges, adhering to the card stock..

Next, I took some Peach Bellini card stock, ran it through my die cutting machine 4 times, die cutting using the Inside and Out Stitched Square Stax to create a dimensional frame once each layer was adhered together, adding this to the front of the card panel…I also die cut a white version also, but with the inside panel, I took some Summer Splash ink, along with the Cloud Stencil and applied ink to create the cloud background, once happy with the look, I adhered to the inside of the frame…

To add more to the card, I stamped out a little cutie dragon from the Magical Dragons set, coloured in with Copics and die cut out, adding this to the left hand side of the frame..

I finished off by adding a tag that I die cut from some white card stock using the Tag Builder Blueprints 6, stamping a sentiment from the same stamp set and lastly adding a die cut heart from some Persimmon card stock also from the same Blueprints set and some Clear Sequins…

I look forward to seeing all your creations this week and to find how to enter and see loads more inspiration, just click HERE..

Have a great day, I will be back again tomorrow with another fun creation to share..
