MFT February Stitched With Love! » Simple By Design

Hi

Hope you are all having a great day!

Beautiful and much cooler day here at the cottage so it is the type of day that you feel like doing something, although secretly, I would really love a nap LOL.

Today at MFT is all about Stitching, it is that time of the month again where the team bring you creations as inspiration for the Stitched with Love. Cross stitch is full of different designs and ideas that we want to show the best ones off to give you done inspiration for your next stitch! So, whether you’re about to start a Baby Cross Stitch pattern for an expecting loved one or want to make yourself an inspirational quote to hang up – there’s always an option for you in the cross-stitching world!

As March is approaching fast, we are sharing creations for St Patricks Day, so this gives you time to make your creations…

I chose to turn my Cross Stitch Tag into a card, using just the portion of where you cross stitch onto, I used one of the patterns from the Resources section on the MFT site…

I stitched away on my die cut portion a pot of gold, once I was finished all the cross stitch, I took out one of the gnomes from You Gnome Me and coloured him in with just grey tones, giving him a monochromatic look..

Next, it was time to assemble to card…I took white card stock and one of the dies from Blueprints 32, die cutting into the panel, also die cutting a frame out of Cement Gray card stock..

I added my cross stitch panel to the card front, then adhering foam tape to the die cut panel to give dimension, I placed over the top of the cross stitch panel, adding my little Cement Gray frame..

I stamped a sentiment onto more white card stock and die cut around this using one of the tab dies from Blueprints 32..

I added my gnome as if he had just dug up all that gold, my sentiment and scattered some Gold Sequins to complete..

I hope you will all join in the fun and play along with this challenge..

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs
