MFT Color Challenge 78! » Simple By Design

Hi there

Hope you are all having a great week..

Today over at MFT we start a another new challenge and this one is the Color Challenge, we currently sit at number 78..

If you are wanting to play along for a chance to win or see more inspiration then just click HERE for more details..

I have included the colour palette for this challenge below..

I chose to work with the You Float My Boat stamp and die set…

I took some white card stock and using my Mini Misti, plus the boat die, I laid the die cutting side down onto the white card stock that was inside the Misti, I then took the stamps and laid each of the sections into the die one at a time so that they would line up when I die cut…

I stamped the bottom of the boat with After Midnight ink, the sails with Lemon Chiffon and the little flag with Daffodil, die cutting the boat out..

I find that this is a really easy way of lining up those images that have separate parts to them..

I then worked with the rest of the card, die cutting more white card stock with one of the A2 Rectangle Stax 2 die set and with more white card stock, I die cut some waves using the Ocean Waves and adhered these to the bottom of the rectangle panel..

I added my little sail boat in between the waves and moved back over to the die cutting machine, taking a strip of Red Hot card stock and die cutting stars into the strip using the Balloon Shaker Window and Frame, adhering this to the bottom of the waves section on the rectangle panel..

Next was to add a sentiment that I stamped onto white card stock, stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Essential Sentiments and die cut using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips..

I completed the card by adding Party Banners die cut to the top of the rectangle panel and then I added some twine around the main part of the card and added my little boat scene and the card was complete..

I look forward to seeing what you all come up with for this Color Challenge..

Have a wonderful rest of the day!
