Hello
Have you all been Christmas crafting? I know I still have quite a bit to do, hoping to get them all completed, one thing I can say I have all the overseas cards ready to send off, just have to find the time to sit and write in them..
I have some more Christmas inspiration for you today, I have to say that I adore anything that Kelly Purkey designs and so when she released her Christmas line through Hero Arts it was a given that most of those stamps would be finding a home with me..
I shared awhile back a sneak peek of creating this card and today, FINALLY! sharing the full reveal..
In the time of receiving the stamp sets, I also received the Hero Arts, Ombre Lime to Forever Green ink pad, so I wanted to try this out on the silhouette stamps in this set, it takes a little practice, but I managed to get the look I was after…I then wanted to emboss one of the larger trees with white embossing powder and use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to add water colour and give a different depth of colour as opposed to the inked up trees..
I trimmed them out and set aside so I could work on the background, I chose to take out the background die called Falling Stars from Simon Says Stamp and die cut into white card stock, adding a silver glitter paper background behind, so when looking at the stars you could see a glimpse of glitter shining through..I added this to a trimmed white card base and then arranged my trees, added a sentiment and a scattering of sequins as well as enamel dots to complete..
Upon looking at the card when I finished it, I felt it needed something more added, so I trimmed a small piece of silver glitter paper and added a strip to the base of the card also..
This would make a great card if you were wanting to create batches of Christmas cards…
I hope you find some inspiration and you are enjoying the lead up to the holiday season..
Hugs
