Jungle Friends! » Simple By Design

Hello and Happy Friday..

We have a lovely long weekend here this weekend, I decided to take an extra day off work and so a lovely 4 days off for me, looking forward to playing in the craft room and catching up on some house work..

Sitting here tonight in front of the TV and decided to finally share my Jungle Friends cards with you, I was given a Card Kit from MFT to work with and sadly I haven’t had a chance to share my projects until now..

I have two cards for you, this first one, I kept really simple, die cutting the cute little Elephant from Jungle Friends dies out of some Homespun Gingham pattern paper, whilst I had this pattern paper out I die cut some Scenic Safari, creating hills for the little elephant to stand on, of course some grass was needed in this little scene, so I die cut some out of Dots & Stripes Fresh pattern paper and began the process of putting the card together…realising the scene needed some sort of background to anchor to, so I embossed a Stitched Rectangle Stax die into white card stock, adding my pieces of die cut pattern paper images and then moved onto stamping out a sentiment from the Jungle Friends stamp set, embossing it with white embossing powder, completing this card by adding some Pretty Pink Posh, Mossy sequins and some twine..

The next card, I so wanted to use the Surf & Turf dies to create another scene but an interactive scene, die cutting circles out of pattern paper, on the bottom section of the circle, I die cut one of the slider dies into this to add my little die cut elephant to slide along..of course I had to add a giraffe, tree and grass out of card stock, then went about adding all the pieces to the circle features…I was so excited when I managed to get the little elephant to slide along, it really is so cute..all the card needed to finish was a sentiment from the Jungle Friends stamp set, that I embossed onto Black Licorice card stock..

I do hope that these cards give you inspiration on using the Jungle Friends stamps and dies or the kit that you may have purchased…

Time for me to go see what Bentley and Darryl are up to..

Enjoy your day and as always thank you so much for stopping by..

Hugs
