Hello
WOW!! I have to say I am blown away by the response and beautiful comments about my last card I created using the Lemon Blossom set from Betsy Veldman’s shop The Greetery…Thank you so so much, but also thank you for the understanding of the disappearing blog post, to which I might add I still cannot find, so who knows where in cyber space it is floating..
Here’s hoping today’s post goes that much smoother..
Speaking of…how about the second card I created with The Greetery products..
This time I did some no line water colouring using the Katie Cuties – Fan-Sea set..to which is just way too adorable..
Something I aspire to do and hopefully one day accomplish is to water colour and yet feel comfortable doing so LOL..
I chose the main 2 images from the set the Octopus and Starfish and inked these up with some Natural ink from MFT, having a lighter coloured ink, just enough so I could see where I would be painting and the other so that it would blend away when water colouring making the no line water colour effect..
I took my Faber Castell Goldfaber Aqua Water Colour pencils, now I have listed below this post a smaller set to which you can purchase, but I do have the bigger 48 piece set that I have to say was the first time using and I really really love, so I added layers to my Octopus and Starfish until I was happy then set aside to dry before die cutting out..
I wanted an underwater scene to my card, to achieve what I was after I took a piece of water colour paper and a piece of acetate, to which I added Peacock Feather, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire, I added water until fair size droplets and by bending the acetate around the paper, smooshing it until I was happy with the effect, also making sure to dry between each layer..
I dried the panel and added a sentiment using my Mini Misti, along with adhering my images and adding a few bubbles around the images and the card was complete..
I have truly loved creating with Betsy’s images this month and I know I want to have more of her products in my craft room, be sure to head over to the Shop and Blog to see more and to follow her on Instagram..
I cannot thank you enough Betsy for allowing me to create for you, it has been an absolute honour and pleasure, thank you!
Hugs
