Cardinal Bird! » Simple By Design

Hi Everyone! So today I bring you another DT card that I created for Jay Gee’s Nook, this time using A Muse stamps.

I wanted this card to be a really quick and easy card to create when you are running out of time to create those Christmas cards to be sent, by using just 2 stamps from the A Muse collection I was able to achieve that particular look.

Using white card stock as the card and taking the Cardinal Silhouette stamp, I stamped the image straight onto the card using Memento Black Ink, cleaning the stamp off and stamping it again onto some scratch white card stock using Colorbox Ink, Magenta ink, once dry, cut the image of the bird out and attach it to the bird on the card front using foam dimensionals. At the base of the card I added some scoring lines using my Score Pal and in between the score lines I stamped a holiday sentiment from A Muse collection adding rhinestones to match either side of the sentiment. Feeling as though the card needed a little extra I took some Pink Sorbet twine and and tied this above the top score line. Lastly, added some colour to the berries on the branch using my Copic and some Glossy Accents over the top.

So what could be a more simple design to get those last minute Christmas cards sent out.

Remember to check out the blog for more beautiful cards to feast your eyes on from the other DT members and also the website as there is always more products being listed.

Well I am off to do more crafting! Have a great day!
