Hi there

Hope you are all enjoying your wonderful weekend and to all my friends in the US I hope you are enjoying your 4th of July celebrations..

Before I share the card for today, I wanted to say that if you have been trying to visit my blog over the last couple of days and have had a lot of problem viewing, things behind the scenes sadly were a bit of a mess, but thanks to some long phone calls with my hosting account, things are finally and I am hoping with fingers crossed that this will be the last of it for sometime…

Right, well lets share the card..

I created this card a little while ago for Darkroom Door and the lovely Rachel said that I could share with you all my creation using Steam Punk and World Map Background stamp..

I choose to create a circle feature with the World Map Background stamp, inking up with several colours of distress ink, applying a light mist of water and stamping onto white card stock, heat setting and die cutting the circle..

Adding the circle along with pattern papers from Teresa Collins, Something Wonderful paper pad..

If you know me you know I love travel themed cards, so I chose to stamp a compass from the Steam Punk stamp set, adhering this to the circle feature, adding a sentiment also from this set and adding to the pattern paper feature, along with enamel dots…

Finishing the card by adding a small plane die cut from Simon Says Stamp, adding glossy accents to give it more dimension and stickers from October Afternoon, Travel Girl collection..

I hope you enjoyed viewing my card today and that it inspires you to create sometime this weekend..

I am going to snuggle up with a cuppa, listen to the rain fall and keep warm by the heater with this freezing weather that is passing through our neck of the woods, not that I am complaining as I much prefer this weather to our hot hot Summers..

Have a great rest of the day!

Hugs
